Uncorking the Spirit: An Evening with John Pratt Exploring Rogue Valley’s Wine Scene

Date: March 14, 2024

Time: 5:30 PM

Location: Meese Room, Hannon Library, Southern Oregon University

Hey wine enthusiasts and curious minds! Clear your calendars for March 14th because we’ve got an exciting event lined up at the Meese Room in Hannon Library.

We’re thrilled to host John Pratt, the brains behind Celestina Vineyard and the president of the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association. With roots in California’s vineyards and a passion for winemaking that runs deep, John’s journey is one you won’t want to miss hearing about. From learning the ropes from an Italian farming legend to his decades in education before returning to his farming roots in Southern Oregon, John’s got stories to share.

But wait, there’s more! John’s talk, “A Grower’s Eye-View of Winemaking,” isn’t just about grapes and soil. He’ll be sharing firsthand experiences, from the highs to the lows, and shedding light on why the Rogue Valley is making waves in the wine world.

Can’t make it in person? No worries! We’ve got a Zoom Link ready for you to join virtually. And yes, it’s all on the house!

Whether you’re a seasoned wine aficionado or just curious to learn more, this event is for you. And for those driving in, metered parking is available in lots 1, 12, 29, 36, 37, and 41.

Need accommodations? Reach out to SOU’s Disability Resources office, and they’ll be happy to assist.
