Finals Week at Hannon

Finals week has descended upon us, so it’s time to push up our sleeves and dig in for that last stretch of effort. But hang in there, students. Spring Break will come before too long. Meanwhile, Hannon Library is here to help with some extra building hours:

Library Hours: March 19-25

Sunday, 11 AM-24 hours*
Monday, Open 24 hours*
Tuesday, Open 24 hours*
Wednesday, Closed at 2 AM*
Thursday, 8 AM-2AM*
Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
*closed at midnight to non-students

Some come to the library, settle in for the long haul, and show those nasty finals who’s boss. And we know how difficult it is to burn the midnight hour, so on 24-hour nights we’re serving up free coffee, tea, and snacks starting at midnight. Quiet Week

Can you believe it? Winter term is drawing to a close, and Quiet Week is quickly approaching. But that’s okay because Hannon Library has your back. We’re extended our hours for Quiet Week so you can make the most of your time:

Library Hours: March 13-18

Sunday, 11 AM-11 PM
Monday, 8 AM-2 AM*
Tuesday, 8 AM-2 AM*
Wednesday, 8 AM-2 AM*
Thursday, 8 AM-2 AM*
Friday, 8 AM-11 PM
Saturday, 11 AM-11 PM
*closed at midnight to non-students

While you’re here, be sure to take advantage of the extras and perks being offered. On Tuesday, March 14, enjoy some free hot cocoa courtesy of the First Year Mentor Program, served 11 AM-1 PM in the library rotunda. On March 16-18, between 7 PM and 11 PM, free snacks will be provided by the Event Planning Involvement Committee (EPIC). And be sure to visit the Writing Center and Math & Science Labs, which are offering extra hours of tutoring services.

Quiet Week

The library is open for special, extended hours throughout Quiet Week:

Sunday, 11 AM to 11 PM
Monday-Thursday, 8 AM to 2 AM*
Friday, 8 AM to 11 PM
Saturday, 11 AM to 11 PM

*Please note that the building is closed to non-SOU students at midnight Monday through Thursday.

Special hours for Finals Week will begin Sunday, December 4. Visit the library’s website for the complete schedule.

Special Hours: Thanksgiving Week

A reminder to all our patrons that Hannon Library will have special hours this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday:

Wednesday, Nov 23: closing at 5 PM (except for scheduled classes)
Thursday, November 25-Saturday, November 26: closed all day
Sunday, November 27: begin special hours for Quiet Week
